Ash House Soap Studio
The Ash House Soap Studio is a mom-owned small business from Ohio. Our name comes from the history of soap making, when people would use small brick buildings called ash houses to store their ashes over the winter. In the spring, the ashes were soaked with water creating a natural form of lye called potash and then would be mixed with oils and fats to create soap.
Our soaps are made free of palm oil, synthetic detergents, or dyes. They are made with quality essential oils, clean fragrances, and natural oils and butters in the traditional cold process fashion. Inspired by nature and handcrafted using ingredients both local and from small businesses where possible. We carry a variety of soaps, most of which are vegan but some are made with small farm raised products such as goat milk and honey.
